4. Journal History

The Regional Research and Innovation Agency of Bali Province (formerly Badan Riset dan Inovasi Daerah / BRIDA Provinsi Bali, previously initiated as BaRI) established Jurnal Bali Membangun Bali in early 2020. The inaugural issue was officially published in April 2020 (Vol. 1, No. 1), marking a strategic milestone in institutionalizing regional scientific publications.

The foundation of JBMB was driven by the imperative to establish a direct dialectic link between research outputs, regional technological innovations, and public policymaking. By providing a peer-reviewed academic vehicle, the agency ensures that technological discoveries and socio-economic research translate effectively into tangible benefits for the local and regional populace.

Since its inception in 2020, JBMB has maintained continuous, punctual publication across all issues. The journal is progressively modernizing its editorial workflow, adopting internationally recognized publishing ethics (COPE) and transparent attribution standards (CRediT), with the long-term vision of securing higher national accreditation (SINTA) and inclusion in prestigious international citation indexes.
